Not only is the Grammys the biggest award in music, but it also offers an iconic gift bag to its attendees.
At this year’s Grammys, some of the biggest names in music will receive a bag full to the brim with gifts courtesy of the Academy. It’s certain to have cost the award show bosses quite a lot if the long, long list of prizes is anything to go by. Those attending and performing include Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Travis Scott. They will pick up a whole assortment of items and be able to stop by the gift lounge during rehearsals too if they so wish, with extra brands to shop from. Although the gift bags are free, stars pay taxes on the items and declare them as business gifts. But it’s likely a small fee compared to buying them outright.

What is inside the Grammys gift bag?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Grammys gift bag cost around $36k each and there will be 145 prepared for this year’s awards.
Luxuries the stars will go home with are endless and range from Garnier skincare all the way to children’s Furby toys.

The curator of the bags speaks out

The gift bags for the Grammys (or suitcase, which is what A-listers got last year) are compiled by Lash Fary’s Distinctive Assets. The Los Angeles-based company has been doing business with the Academy for 25 years, and their gift bags are the only official ones, too.
“It has been a privilege and honor to have been a small part of music’s biggest night for 25 years,” Fary said.
“I believe our gifts are so well received because they range from functional to fabulous while embracing inclusivity and philanthropy.”
On the creation of the bags and how the celebrities receive them, he told Fox Business as long as you go, you’ll get one (if you’re on the guest list, of course.)
They added: “What’s interesting is that I never really know how it’s going to all come together until sort of the final swing of this when the products start arriving,
“As long as you show up for the show and read your lines, if you’re a presenter, or sing a song if you’re a performer, a gift goes into your vehicle as you’re leaving the venue.”
On the lounge, he said: “If you show up and Rihanna’s running late, and you’ve got an hour to hang out, you can come and go through the gift lounge where you get to pick out the different items.”
