For the last two months her life has been a whirl of diapers and night feeds.
But Anna Chlumsky left her two-month-old at home as she made a return to the red carpet at Sunday night's Emmys.
And the 32-year-old looked radiant in an elegant emerald dress that flattered her post-baby figure.
And the evening promises to be an exciting one for the former child star, who is nominated for her first Emmy for her supporting role on HBO's Veep.

The baby is the first for Anna and her 32-year-old entrepreneur husband Shaun So.
The parents have joined a growing number of celebrities who prefer Penelope.
Reality star Kourtney Kardashian, comedienne Tina Fey, celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson and musican Taylor Hansen all picked Penelope for their daughters, too.

Anna told recently People magazine that her Penelope looks like her and her husband.
'She’s a really good mix between my husband and me. When she’s with him, you see him, and when she’s with me, you see me. She’s a perfect mix,' Anna said.
'We think she has my mouth, but it’s hard to tell. Even the colour of her eyes, they are different in different light. But she has a really full set of hair,' she added.

Meanwhile, Anna is nominated for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Veep.
She said of experience of being nominated has left her in 'shock'.
Anna portrays the chief of staff to vice-president Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the HBO comedy.

She said it was a touching moment because she got the news with her husband and new daughter in the room.
It was Anna's first Emmy nomination and she'll be facing tough competition.
Fellow nominees in the same category include: Jane Krakowski of 30 Rock, Jany Lynch of Glee, Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen of Modern Family and Merritt Weaver of Nurse Jackie.
