Someone recently pointed out that a mere 80 years ago, young Americans were asked to sacrifice everything, including their own lives, in order to preserve freedom, liberty and the values that this country was built on, and they gladly did so. More than 400,000 brave American soldiers gave their lives for their country during World War II.
Today, young Americans won’t even give up a Chinese social-media platform called TikTok that is collecting their personal data and giving it to the Chinese government. Their excuses range from “I don’t want to lose my videos” to “I like Tik Tok better than Snapchat.” If this is all it takes for the Chinese to win over Generations X, Y, and Z, we are pretty much doomed.
